3rd Anniversary & a Photo Shoot

We finally were able to celebrate our anniversary together this year! Our first anniversary I was traveling to Sweden and our second Jeff was working. So this year we decided we were actually going to spend time together. Uncle Alan, Aunt Alona and Cousin Erin offered to watch Jenna while we went and had a wonderful meal out.

Taryn made us our own wine for our wedding and we finally were able to enjoy it this year! Jeff gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I gave him roses. Jenna was so curious about what was on the table I decided to let her take a closer look.
Can I have some Mom?
After taking the above pictures I decided it was time for a photo shoot...

Since it was a warm sunny day we decided to take it outside...

It was a great anniversary and a great day for taking pictures!

First/Second Mother's Day

This was really my second Mother's Day...my first with Jenna outside my womb. I found out last year that I was pregnant the day before Mother's Day. What a difference a year can make...
Mother's Day 2010
Jeff and I chose to celebrate the news to ourselves last year, but this year we decided to celebrate Mother's Day in the Valley and surprise our Moms. We spent Saturday at the Camano Island beach cabin with Grandma Myrene, Grandpa Glenn and G.G. It needed to be opened for the summer. It was a rainy cold day so we spent the few hours inside. Although it probably was colder inside than out. We tried to turn the power on and found out later it was turned off for some reason. We decided to make the best of it and bundled up!

The temperature inside the cabin!

We then traveled to the other side of the Island to spend Saturday evening and Sunday with Grammy, Papa, Uncle Wes, Auntie Tuse and of course "Uncle" Oskar.

It was a perfect "second" Mother's Day and I am so grateful to be a mother to a beautiful little baby girl!

My Busy Social Life

Our trip to the Valley included 3 play dates! Jenna enjoyed meeting new friends and seeing old ones.

We first met up with Molly and Nolah (who is 3 days older than Jenna). The girls seemed to have a good time. Jenna knew they would be fast friends because of Nolah's great fashion sense (the stripe pants). Nolah showed Jenna how she could roll over. I think Jenna was a little jealous and decided to roll over just a few days ago! We look forward to seeing them again soon.

We were able to meet up with our "old" friend Makenna! Jenna and Makenna were born on the same day and were able to meet for the first time when they were a few weeks old. It worked out great that  Jay, Stefanie, Aylee & Makenna were able to come and visit us.
1st Meeting at 18 Days Old
4 Months Old

Our great trip ended in Seattle where we met up with Tye, Kerry & Grace (9 months old) and Barry, Hannah & Maggie (12 Months Old). It was fun to get the girls together. It was Jenna's first meeting with Grace and our second with Maggie. The first time we met Maggie was memorable...Jeff decided it was ok for Jenna (2 1/2 weeks old) & Maggie (9 months old then) to sit together. Maggie was a crawler and much more interested in the toys...

It was so fun to see how both of them have grown so much! It turned out to be a beautiful day so we took the girls down to Alki Beach.

Over all it was a great week and we look forward to seeing our friends again soon!
